IMPROVEMENTS TO LIFT STATION NW-15

Okeechobee utility Authority (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

Improvements to Lift Station NW-15

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the office of Okeechobee Utility Authority located at 100 SW 5th Avenue, Okeechobee, FL 34974, until Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 1:00 PM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project includes the following Work:

Mechanical and electrical upgrades to Lift Station NW-15, including installation of new pumps, electrical equipment, generator, odor control unit, and appurtenant piping and valves.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents

Prospective Bidders may obtain Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

 

Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents on compact disk will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen. Bidding Documents are available for purchase in the following formats:

Pre-bid Conference

A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 4:00 PM at Okeechobee Utility Authority, 100 SW 5th Avenue, Okeechobee, FL 34974. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.

Notice to Bidders on State and Federal Requirements

Portions of the Project are to be funded under an Agreement between Owner and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), as follows:

Specific Bidder requirements and Contract conditions related to the Agreement are included in the Instructions to Bidders and Supplementary Conditions.

The Project will be subject to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended (40 U.S.C. 276a to a-7), and the current Prevailing Wage Determination for Okeechobee County available at https://sam.gov/wage-determination/FL20260023/0.
